Happy Columbus Day!

Today is the day we observe the anniversary of Columbus landing in the Americas. He didn't hit New England like the Pilgrims, I'm pretty sure he landed in the Bahamas/Caribbean island region so I don't think he enjoyed the majesty of the fall, but I imagine that discovering something you weren't even trying to was still pretty exciting. Then again, I guess it was really only discovered to the Europeans, since Native Americans were living there all ready. At any rate, it's nice to think about the discovery of our continent, and get a day off work, and enjoy the ushering in of other fall holidays like Thanksgiving. Enjoy the day!
